Evergreen Elementary Community Club

The Family Portrait Nights at Evergreen fundraiser has been cancelled because too few appointments were made for Adams Photography to proceed.  If you scheduled an appointment and sent in your $20.00 sitting fee, that money will be returned to you shortly.  The returning checks will be given to the children to take home, so be sure to check those backpacks!

From November 16-20, the Community Club will collect canned foods to donate to families at our school who need assistance, especially during this time of year.  During the collection period, a table will be set up at the front of the school so that families can easily make donations during morning drop-off.  Gift cards are also welcome. 

Please let Mrs. Wong in the office know if you or anyone you know would benefit from this assistance.  Last year, we were able to help a number of families and their gratitude was overwhelming.  Your generosity is much appreciated!  If you would like more information about the Food Drive, please contact Sue Swisher.

The Community Club would like to send out a big Thank You to It’s A Grind of Diamond Bar.  They generously donated the coffee we sold during our Family Fun Night event, and even lent us their coffee dispensing equipment so we could serve each customer a nice, hot cup of their delicious brew! 

If you’ve never been to It’s A Grind, be sure to stop in soon.  Order any of their traditional, espresso, or iced blended coffee drinks; teas, and tea based drinks, hot toasted bagels, muffins, scones, or other delicious bakery items — you’re in for a great treat!  It’s A Grind is located at 1223 S. Diamond Bar Blvd, in the Albertson’s shopping center.

The Community Club would like to send out a big Thank You to Chili’s of Diamond Bar for their generousity in donating prizes for our Family Fun Night raffle.  We are so glad to have them as a partner in our community.  Next time you’re in the mood to “pepper in some fun”, be sure to stop by Chili’s.  They’re located at 707 Grand Avenue, in the Target shopping center.

Dear Family Fun Night Volunteers:

Thank you for all your efforts in putting on a spectacular fundraiser!  The Evergreen Rocks evening on October 23 was a success.  The event generated much needed money for our school.  Special thanks go out to all of your for your time and energy making this a great and fun time.  I am looking forward to next year’s event, which I am sure will be just as much of a success.
