Evergreen Elementary Community Club

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our Community Club website.  The fact that you are here looking at our website means you are a concerned parent who has an interest in your child’s education.  This is something we all have in common: we are all parents.  This means we are all members of a somewhat exclusive club.  We have shared experiences both good and bad.  We use common terms and phrases, we have to purchase similar things and we all have similar hopes and dreams for our children.  We also have similar worries.  We worry if they are going to be liked and have friends, then when they are teenagers we worry if they have the right friends.  We hope they will do well in school and become happy, well adjusted and successful adults.  We struggle to find time to help them with homework and wonder if they are watching too much television or playing too many video games.  Parenting—it’s a full time job, it’s an adventure, and it’s without a doubt the best game in town.

I know that all of you are interested in your child’s education.  I hope that you will consider being involved with our Community Club, or helping in our classrooms, assisting with special events such as our Family Fun Night or spring Field Day, or supporting our school through our fund raisers.  I know it’s been said that it takes a village to raise a child.  Well, it takes a team of teachers, students and parents to create a great school.  So, to all you parents I say have a great school year and welcome to the Evergreen Team.
